We specialise in International Human Rights
Human Rights
Human Rights are a set of fundamental rights which ensure freedom of speech, the right to life, the prohibition of torture, the right to private and family life and non-discrimination. These rights are ensured by international conventions incorporated by Denmark such as the European Convention on Human Rights or ratified by Denmark such as the UN convention on Civil and Political Rights, the UN Convention on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the UN 1951 Refugee Convention, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
These Conventions have an impact on many different legal areas and are therefore necessary to consider, not only but especially in cases related to Immigration Law. The Convention on the Rights of the Child is especially relevant in Family Law.
Holm/Thomsen Law have experience in handling cases with an international aspect both before Danish Authorities and Courts and before international bodies such as the European Court of Human Rights and the UN Committees.
